- Government of Assam ready for 10th, 12th Board Exam 2021.

The Assam government took this decision on Tuesday after a meeting with CBSE, AHSEC and SEBA, All Assam Students Union, Asom Sahitya Sabha, Bodo Sahitya Sabha, All Assam Students Union, All Bodo Students Union, Missing Autonomous Council.
Board exam protest continues
Students of Assam have been posting the reasons for the cancellation of HLC and HS board exams since last week. Some of them have declared the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) and Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) based on the alternative evaluation process in the current situation with the actual board result (Assam). Demonstration by wearing PPE kit
Meanwhile, members of Congress student wing, National Students Union of India (NSUI), Assam, wearing PPE kits, protested at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Jorhat, demanding cancellation of the examination. Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president MP Ripun Bora wrote to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma urging the government to take an “early, concrete” decision on the examinations.
About 7 lakh students can appear for the Assam Board exam
In Assam, class 10 exam is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) and class 12 exam is conducted by the Assam Council of Higher Secondary Education (AHSEC). Around 7 lakh students can appear in the board exams this year. These include about 2.5 lakh students of class 12th and about 4.5 lakh students of class 10th.
Because of this, the education minister wants to conduct board exams
According to Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu, the cases of Kovid-19 are decreasing in the state than before and in such a situation it will be safe to conduct the examination. “There is a general consensus that exams should be held. The Health Department had said that the situation of Kovid-19 would improve in the month of July. We will conduct the exam tentatively not next month but in August.” However, not all subjects will be held.
Exams were postponed in May
Both the exams were initially scheduled for May 11. On May 4, the government announced that the exams would be postponed due to the increase in cases and new exam dates would be announced soon. In view of the safety of students and school staff, necessary SOPs will be prepared in the next week.
