Reflections on open book examination
Underlining that students’ studies were affected due to Kovid-19, Kothari said that they should be allowed a gap of one year or the exam should be conducted twice. He also asked them to consider the ‘open book’ examination.
Students get permission to take exams from home
Emphasizing the importance of class 12, Kothari said, ‘Keeping in mind the future of the students, a board examination of class XII should be conducted. Students may be given some options due to unforeseen circumstances. ‘ SSUN suggested several options such as giving optional questions to students and allowing them to take exams from home or taking only two-three subjects exams.
Today meeting between Ministry of Education and CBSE
Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE 12th examinations on June 1 means that today an important meeting is to be held between the Union Ministry of Education and the CBSE. Many students and organizations are demanding the cancellation of the 12 board exams. At the same time, CBSE is in favor of conducting these exams. Earlier, the Union Ministry of Education had decided to postpone the 12th board examinations till June 1 in view of the spread of Corona infection across the country. This is the reason that all eyes are now on this meeting of the CBSE and the Ministry of Education, which is going to be held today.
