All the girls who came from Chennai are residents of Dumka district of Jharkhand. She had gone to Tamil Nadu for employment. Everyone used to do sewing work. Due to the closure of employment in the lockdown, a situation of starvation arose in front of them. In such a situation, she made up her mind to return from abroad, but due to the difficulty in coming to Jharkhand from Chennai, she was stuck there for months.

As soon as the social organization Shubh Sandesh Foundation got information about the women workers being trapped in Chennai, they started in the exercise of taking them safely home. Local MLA Mathura Prasad Mahato and other public representatives contacted the Chief Minister. All 36 women workers were brought to Dhanbad by adding extra coaches in Alleppey Express special train. From here everyone was sent to Dumka by buses.
