After the arrest of two Al Qaeda terrorists in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar Police Headquarters has sounded an alert in all districts and railway stations. Along with this, all sensitive and state border area officials have been asked to remain alert. Strict instructions have also been given to check and search passengers and other sensitive places including incoming and outgoing trains, platforms, parcel houses, circulating areas, ticket counters, waiting halls.
Let us inform that the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested Minhaj Ahmed and Maseeruddin alias Musheer, two terrorists associated with Al Qaeda backed Ansar Gazwatul Hind from Lucknow. Modern arms and explosive material have been recovered from their possession. Cooker bombs prepared from one’s house and semi-finished cooker bombs from the house of another have also been found.

ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar told that both the terrorists had plans to explode or attack in the form of human bombs in various cities of the state including Lucknow before August 15 at important places, monuments or crowded areas. For this they were collecting weapons and explosives etc.
Among the arrested terrorists, Minhaj Ahmed son Siraj Ahmed is a resident of Jehta Barawan Kala located on Ring Road in Dubagga area of Lucknow while Masiruddin alias Musheer son Aminuddin is a resident of Mohibullapur on Sitapur Road in Lucknow. A case is being registered against both of them at Lucknow police station of ATS. Inquiries are on about others providing pressure cooker bombs and other illegal weapons.
