Lockdown in Nawada district
A total lockdown has been announced for four days in Nawada amid conditions worsened by the second wave of Corona. The district will remain in complete lockdown on the following Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. During this period only shops, establishments and services connected to 12 types of essential services will be operated. Time will also be fixed for opening of shops and establishments.
Nawada DM Yash Pal Meena gave this information through a virtual press conference. A press conference with print and electronic media was organized on Monday on behalf of the District Information and Public Relations Office. The DM said that this decision has been taken as a precaution keeping in mind the rising infection rate of Corona virus in the district. Lockdown will be effectively implemented to break the corona transition chain. During this, complete strictness will be taken.
Decision came on the suggestion of public representatives
After four days of lockdown in the district, cases of infection transmission will be monitored. If there is no decrease in corona virus infection rate, then the number of days can be increased after four days of lockdown. But in the first round, lockdown will take place on Venus, Saturn, Ravi and Monday only four days. The DM said that before the verdict, there was a consultation with the regional MPs, MLAs and prominent local public representatives to impose the lockdown. In all the blocks, it was decided to put a lockdown from Friday morning to Monday evening. Grocery, fruit and vegetable shops, drug stores and hospitals will open during the lockdown. Besides, essential services like LPG, newspapers and media will be continued.
Corona explosion in district headquarters
The Mascara of Corona at Nawada District Headquarters is at its peak. DM said that most cases of corona infection are being registered in Sadar block including Nawada district headquarters. Currently there are 588 active infected patients. There are 154 active cases in Razauli, while Narhat is also considered very sensitive. 93 corona infectives are under treatment in Narhat.
There are 66 cases in Pakribarawan, 62 in Kauakol, 54 in Warisleiganj, 54 in Kashichak, 49 in Akbarpur, 40 in Hisua and 38 in Sirdala. While 30 active cases have been confirmed in Nardiganj, 25 in Roh, 19 in Govindpur and 18 in Meskaur. Here, 33 people living in other districts and states in Nawada have also been found to be Corona positive.
The condition of entire Bihar is bad
During the last 24 hours in Bihar, 1 lakh 328 samples were investigated regarding the corona. Of these, 12604 new corona virus-infected patients were found. According to information provided by the Health Department, the number of corona infected patients has now increased to 94,275 in Bihar.

It was reported that 1,837 new infected patients have been found in Patna on Tuesday. In the same Begusarai, 611, 654 in Bhagalpur, 543 in Saran and 639 in West Champaran have been found to be infected with the corona virus. The worrying point is that the recovery rate has been reduced to 77.43 percent.
