Bihar News: 7 IAS officers transferred, Tripurari Sharan becomes new Chief Secretary of Bihar

Bihar in the midst of corona virus crisis Nitish Kumar The government has made a major administrative reshuffle. Seven IAS officers have been transferred. Tripurari Sharan, a senior IAS officer of 1985 batch, has been made the Chief Secretary of the state. Tripurari Sharan was currently holding the responsibility of Chairman of Revenue Council. The government transferred them and handed over the responsibility of the new Chief Secretary of the state till further orders.

Among the officials transferred by Bihar government, IAS Sanjeev Kumar Sinha has

been made the chairman cum member of the revenue council. Sinha was still holding the responsibility of the Chief Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department. Sudhir Kumar has been made the Chief Investigation Commissioner of the General Administration Department.

Vandana Kinney, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Labor Resources has been given the responsibility. He will hold additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of Arts, Culture and Youth Department. Mihir Kumar Singh has been made the Commissioner of Tirhut Division of Muzaffarpur. Prem Singh Meena has been made the commissioner of Bhagalpur division. He has also been given the additional charge of Commissioner of Munger Division. Manish Kumar has been made the commissioner of Darbhanga. The General Administration Department has issued a notification in this regard.

The post of Chief Secretary was vacant after the death of Arun Singh
Arun Singh, who was till now the Chief Secretary of Bihar, passed away on Friday. He was infected with the Corona virus, undergoing treatment at a hospital in Patna. On Friday, a wave of mourning rang in the political corridor after the news of his demise. Several senior leaders, including CM Nitish Kumar, condoled his demise.
