Black fungus killed 5 people in the last 24 hours in Patna, the capital of Bihar. All these people died during treatment at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) on Sunday. In IGIMS alone, the fungus infection has killed 17 patients so far.

4 die in a day due to corona in AIIMS
Meanwhile, on Sunday itself, four corona-infected people died in Patna AIIMS. The youngest among the victims was a 25-year-old youth from Majhauli in Phulwari Sharif. There were 104 Kovid affected patients in the hospital on Sunday. On the other hand, a 62-year-old man from Naubatpur died during treatment for Kovid infection at Nalanda Medical College and Hospital on Sunday.
41 people died of corona in 24 hours in Bihar
During the last 24 hours, 41 more patients died of Kovid-19 in Bihar, taking the total number of people who lost their lives due to the epidemic in the state to 5,381.
At the same time, with the arrival of 920 new cases of infection on Sunday, the total number of people who have been victims of Kovid-19 in the state has reached 7,13,117.
According to the Health Department, these figures are from 4 pm on Saturday evening to 4 pm on Sunday. According to the department, out of 920 new cases in Bihar in the last 24 hours, the maximum number of 87 patients are from the capital Patna. According to the data, out of 7,13,117 patients infected so far in Bihar, 6,99,028 patients have been cured, out of which 1799 patients have become infection free in the last 24 hours.

‘About one lakh tests daily’
The Health Department said that a total of 1,08,933 samples were tested during this period. A total of 3,05,73,173 samples have been tested so far since the pandemic that started in Bihar last year. At present 8,707 patients are under treatment in Bihar, while the infection-free rate is 98.02 percent.
Vaccination also accelerated in the state
Meanwhile, a total of 64,692 people (in all age groups) were vaccinated in the state on Sunday to prevent the spread of coronavirus. So far 1,11,20,762 people have been partially (one dose) or fully immunized in the state.
