The special thing is that behind these houses there is also a large pond structure at some distance from the rainy river and the township, which testifies to the settlements based on ancient urban civilization here.
Archaeological experts have expressed the possibility of 80 to 100 houses buried under the hill here. According to the evidence that has emerged, the entrance was also made for the movement of the city. Two pillars are seen here. There is also a 4 feet wide security wall. Inside the houses, there are layers of light to illuminate during the night, which can often be seen in rural areas today.
Along with this, paan was cultivated on the hill, its remains are also present. The special thing is that in Gwalior district, paan is still cultivated in many areas even today, in addition to this, the pond is also built.
In fact, many ancient remains have been found in this area, including ASI excavated at Kuntalpur in Morena district in the year 1996-97. Remains of the Mahabharata were found here. At the same time, historical temples were found in the dunes at the 2005 Bateshwar site. Some of their debris was seen above. 100 Shiva temples have been established by saving them. The department of archeology says that after the corona infection, a team will be surveyed in this area.
