In view of the increasing cases of corona infection in the country and the demand for oxygen in hospitals, the Prime Minister’s Civil Assistance and Emergency Relief Fund (PM Cares) will set up 551 PSA medical oxygen production plants in health centers of various states of the country. The Prime Minister’s Office said in a statement on Sunday that the PM Cares Fund has given in-principle approval for setting up these plants.
Along with this, the Prime Minister has instructed to implement these plants as soon as possible. He said
Significantly, keeping in mind the need for a dedicated national fund for the primary purpose of dealing with any kind of emergency or crisis like Kovid-19 epidemic on 27 March 2020 and to provide relief to the people affected by the emergency situations. A public charitable trust was created in the name of Prime Minister’s Civil Assistance and Relief Fund (PM Cares Fund).
