- P. Chidambaram, referring to the situation in Corona, said that the public should revolt against the government
- Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister said that the government is treating all the people of the country as foolish.
- Congress spokesperson Supriya Srinet has demanded the sacking of Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan
The Congress on Wednesday targeted Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan over a statement and demanded his sacking as a minister. Senior party leader P Chidambaram also said that all the people of India should revolt against the ‘foolish’ government.
Chidambaram tweeted, “I am angry with Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan’s statement that there is no shortage of oxygen, vaccine and Remedisvir.” I am also angry with the statement of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that there is no shortage of vaccines in the state.
The former Union Minister wrote in another tweet whether all the visuals and newspapers running on TV channels are false. Are doctors lying, are patients’ relatives lying? Are all videos and photos fake? Chidambaram said, “People should revolt against the government which is assuming that all the people of India are fools.”
Congress spokesperson Supriya Srinet also attacked Dr. Harsh Vardhan. He said, ‘The hospitals are not getting treatment. Oxygen deficiency persists. People are doing trihamaam. There is no space left in the crematoriums and cemeteries. Despite this situation, the Health Minister says that this year the situation is better than last year. He alleged, ‘It seems that he has forgotten the basic religion of humanity. There is so much anger in the arrogance of power that they have forgotten the anguish of the people. ‘
Supriya said, ‘There is no morality in Harsh Vardhan that he will resign. They should be dismissed immediately. ‘
Significantly, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said in a webinar on Tuesday that in 2021 the country is better prepared mentally and physically with more experience to defeat the epidemic than in the previous year.
Supriya also described the condition of corona infection in Uttar Pradesh as worrisome and claimed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his government were threatening people instead of showing sensitivity.
He said, “Decree is being issued again and again in Uttar Pradesh. The first decree was issued that the permission of the Chief Medical Officer is required for hospitalization. Then the decree was given that the government’s committee will decide to give oxygen, not doctors. Now a new decree has been given that Rasuka will be imposed against the person raising the issue of lack of oxygen and medicine and the property will be confiscated. ”
Supriya alleged that Haryana Chief Minister Manohal Lal Khattar and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat have also given insensitive statements in the last few days.
