A famous public health expert on Sunday advocated that the Kovid-19 vaccine should be free of cost as government financial support is needed in any public health emergency. President of the Public Health Foundation of India, Prof. K Srinath Reddy also said that if (big gathering) ‘stop the epidemic’ programs are stopped and people start wearing masks, then Coronavirus in India Cases will begin to decrease within three weeks.

Reddy said that if one wants to get vaccinated at a private hospital of his choice according to his convenience, then he can pay the service fee but the vaccination should be free. Reddy, who was the chairman of the cardiovascular department at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, was asked when he expected the current second wave of Kovid-19 in India to reach its peak, he said that it depends on many things.
He also said that he does not rely on the mathematical paradigm of speculating about the Kovid-19 transition because it does not take into account that there are both rural and urban areas in India which have different rates of infection. He said, “… all (mathematical) paradigms are based on how the virus acts, not how we react.”
