- The process of applying the vaccine is connected to the Internet
- Permission for offline process is sought from the government
- But still waiting for approval from the government
Corona vaccine is not available in many areas bordering China and Nepal in Uttarakhand. People living here are worried as well as health department officials are also worried about it. The process of vaccination is taking place online and there are many areas along the Sino-Nepal border where there is no mobile network, the internet is a distant dream. There are many
Problems not happening due to network
Pithoragarh CMO Dr HC Pant said that the high-altitude areas in the Pithoragarh district like Munsiyari, Dharchula, these fall in the shadow area. There is a lot of difficulty in vaccination here. He said that like Dharchula there are many areas like Baluwakot, Jauljibi, Baram, Bangapani where there is no network of phone or internet. We have made the government aware of this and have demanded that we should be allowed to do offline vaccination here.
No provision for offline vaccination
So far, there has been no response from the government and we have not been allowed to do it, so there we are facing problems in vaccination. In fact, there is no format for offline vaccination in the Central Government Guidelines nor is there any reference to whether or not to do offline vaccination. There are many areas in Nepal border where SIM of Nepal works and people talk on the phone using Nepal SIM but there is no internet service.
Strict adherence to rules is not being done
The cases of corona in Uttarakhand are increasing steadily. While the number of corona positive is increasing, the death toll from corona is also increasing continuously. For those coming from other states in the state, even though the rule of registration has been made, but it is not seen to be strictly followed. There is currently no restriction on moving from one district to another. Experts believe that as more vaccinations occur, the corona cases will decrease. But the lack of mobile-internet network in the border areas has already become a headache for the people, while the lack of this network has also become an obstacle in the path of vaccination.
