Australian opener David Warner on Wednesday said it was ‘horrifying’ to see pictures of mass funerals during the IPL amid the Corona crisis in India. Warner and the rest of Australia’s players had moved to the Maldives after the IPL was postponed midway due to restrictions in Australia on travel from India.
He said, ‘People were standing in queues on the streets for the last rites of their families. We saw this scene on our way to the ground and on our way back from there. It was horrifying and disturbing.
Warner said that it was right to postpone the IPL after the corona cases came in the bio bubble. He said, ‘From the perspective of humanity, I think the right decision was taken. It was challenging once the transition came to the bubble. He tried his best. We know that everyone in India loves cricket.
