England’s limited overs team had to go into isolation. Three players of the team have been found corona positive and along with this four staff members have also been found infected with Kovid-19. The England and Wales Cricket Board has announced this on Tuesday.
The ECB issued a statement saying, ‘In a PCR test conducted on Monday in Bristol, the ECB confirms that seven members of the England men’s ODI team – including three players and four management members – tested positive for Kovid-19. went.’
People coming in contact with the infected will have to self-isolate themselves from 4 July under the UK government’s COVID protocol. The rest of the team members are also considered to have come in contact and they will also keep themselves in isolation.
The England team has to play a six-match limited overs series against Pakistan. This includes three ODIs and three T20Is. The first match of the series will be played in Cardiff from July 8. This match will happen as per the schedule.

Tom Harrison, chief executive of the ECB, said: “We had an idea that the emergence of the delta variant, as well as the departure from the strong bio-secure bubble, could lead to an increase in infection cases.”
