Fear of ‘attack’ on ship at Yanbu port in Red Sea, smoke appears

Dubai
Saudi Arab On Tuesday morning, an unknown ‘incident’ is being feared in the Red Sea after seeing the smoke of black smoke rising at Yanbu harbor on Tuesday. Officials said on Tuesday that a private security company had warned of a possible attack on a ship. Detailed information about Tuesday’s incident in the Red Sea has not been received.

However, the incident comes at a time when ships are being targeted in West Asia as part of a proxy war between Israel and Iran, as
negotiations begin with countries of the world regarding a nuclear treaty with Iran. Saudi Arabia has also not given any immediate information about the incident.

Britain’s Maritime Trade Operations, run by the British Navy, merely stated that it was ‘aware of the incident’ and investigations were on in this regard. Private maritime security company Dryad Global, without giving any detailed information in this regard, said that it has received information about an ‘attack’ on a ship. The maritime security company Neptune P2P Group reported that it was reported to have seen a smog of black smoke near the southern entrance of Yanbu harbor.

British maritime security company Ambray said there was a possibility of ‘an incident’ off the coast of western Saudi Arabia between Yanbu and Rabig ports. The company said that earlier in the morning, smoke was seen rising from a ship off the coast of Saudi port of Yanbu. Many tankers are present in the area.

Ambray said that by sending a message from the Sea Fahd Port Surveillance Center in Yanbu via sea Weichf radio, the ships were alerted to increase their alertness and monitor any suspicious situation.
