There is good news for the fans of Shreyas Iyer. The Indian batsman has now fully recovered from the shoulder injury. As well as talking about his return to the Indian Premier League (IPL). Iyer informed about his availability from the YouTube channel ‘The Grade Cricketer’.

In March, when the English team was on a tour of India, during the ODI series, there was an accident with Shreyas Iyer. He got injured while fielding during the first ODI played in Pune. Moaning in pain, he had to leave the field. Later, there was talk of a fracture in the shoulder. In April, he underwent surgery, due to which he had to stay out of IPL 2021, which was later postponed due to Corona virus.
Will return in IPL
Iyer told YouTube channel ‘The Grade Cricketer’, ‘My shoulder… yes, I think the injury has healed. Now this is the final step in gaining strength and range. So it’s going to take about a month and training is clearly underway. Also, I think, I will be in IPL. It may be recalled that before the second wave of Kovid-19 halted the IPL, Delhi Capitals were sitting on top of the points table with 12 points.
Will you get the captaincy of Delhi Capitals again?
When asked about his return to captaincy for Delhi Capitals, Iyer said, “I don’t know about captaincy. It is in the hands of the owners. But the team is already doing well and we are on top and that’s what really matters to me. My main aim and target is to lift the trophy which Delhi has never done before. In his absence, Rishabh Pant was named the captain of the IPL 2020 runners-up.
