Five-member committee set up to probe bio bubble violations of Sri Lankan cricketers

Colombo| Sri Lanka Cricket has constituted a five-member panel to probe the bio bubble violations against Kushal Mendis, Danushka Gunathilake and Niroshan Dickwella during the tour of England. “The Board announces that a five-member panel will investigate Mendis, Gunathilake and Dickwella on allegations of breach of protocol during the tour of England,” Sri Lanka Cricket said in a statement.

These three players have been suspended till the completion of the investigation.

Retired Sri Lanka Supreme Court Judge Nimal Dissanayaka, Attorney at Law Panduka Keerthinanda, Asela Rekawa, Suitha Wickremasinghe and Retired Major General MRWD Joisa are members of this panel.

These three players are accused of exiting their team hotel during the one-day series against England last month, leaving their team hotel and roaming on the road.

These players were later removed from the team and sent home. These three players will also not be part of the limited overs series against India.
