According to the rules now, a person from countries coming in “high-incidence areas” will be allowed to enter Germany, provided he is corona negative before arrival and can be quarantined for 10 days.

However, if the person’s corona report is negative, then his quarantine period will be of only 5 days. These rules will be implemented from Wednesday. Those passengers coming from high incidence areas will get exemption in quarantine who have been fully vaccinated.

German Health Minister Jens Spahn said last week that the federal government would look into the situation (of allowing travelers to delta variant-hit countries) “in the next few days”. Last month, Dubai eased restrictions on Indian travelers who have received two doses of the UAE-approved COVID-19 vaccine. The country has approved vaccines made by Sinopharm, Pfizer-BioNtech, Sputnik V and Oxford-AstraZeneca.

Travelers from India have to undergo a rapid PCR test four hours before traveling to Dubai. On reaching Dubai, he will also have to undergo another PCR test. After their arrival, travelers from India must undergo institutional quarantine till the receipt of their PCR test results, which is expected within 24 hours.
