Ghaziabad News: Notice to Twitter again, now Grievance officer called to police station, case of beating and beard cutting

The Loni Border Police Station of Ghaziabad district has now called Dharmendra Chatur, the then Grievance Officer of Twitter, for questioning at the police station. He will have to reach the police station to give his reply in 7 days. Notices have also been sent to three Congress leaders to come to the police station. Earlier also notices were given to them, but all three did not come to the police station.

The Loni Border Police Station had also sent a notice to Twitter’s India MD Manish Maheshwari to come to the police station, but he reached the Karnataka High Court. The matter is to be heard today. SP Countryside Dr. Iraj Raja said that after the information given by Twitter, a notice has been sent to the then Grievance Officer Dharmendra Chatur.

It was told that Dharmendra was handling the post of Grievance Officer when the objectionable post went viral on Twitter. Apart from Dharmendra Chatur, three Congress leaders and news website The Wire have been given notice by the police. All of them will have to reach the Loni border police station and record their statements within a week.

SP Dehat said that Maksoor Asmani, Dr Shama Mohammad and Salman Nizami had not responded to the earlier notice. After this, they have now been issued a second notice under section 41 of CrPC. The objectionable post was shared by all three Congress leaders. Earlier, 3 people including Mohammad Zubair, Saba Naqvi have recorded their statements.

On June 5, Abdul Sadam, a resident of Anupshahr (Bulandshahr), had his beard shaved after being assaulted. A case was registered in this case at Loni Border Police Station on June 7. Some videos were going viral with wrong facts from the night of 13th June. After investigation, the police had told the whole matter on social media as a dispute related to the amulet as an incident of normal assault.

Despite this, many people kept sharing that video. A case was registered against 9 people including Twitter for disturbing social harmony and other charges. SP leader Umaid Pehalwan has also been arrested for posting objectionable video on Facebook. Action has also been taken against them under the National Security Act. 10 people have been arrested for assaulting the elderly. Action has been taken against all under the Gangster Act.
