The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Saturday busted a large inter-state drug smuggling syndicate and succeeded in catching a huge consignment of drugs. Police have also arrested 4 people with drugs.
According to the information, the Special Cell has arrested 4 people with more than 350 kg of heroin on Saturday. The value of the seized heroin is said to be around Rs 2500 crore. Three accused have been arrested from Haryana and one accused from Delhi. Police have interrogated the four accused and are trying to find out more people associated with their gang.
Four arrested including two arms smugglers after encounter in Delhi
At the same time, the Special Cell has arrested four criminals in two separate incidents of firing in the capital. Officials said on Saturday that these incidents took place in Rohini and Dwarka areas of Delhi on Friday.
Two robbers Yashpal and Vikas were apprehended from Rohini at around 9 pm after firing, a senior official said. Yashpal is involved in more than 15 cases of robbery and snatching. He said that in another incident, two illegal arms smugglers Abdul Wahab and Farman from Meerut were apprehended from Dwarka around 12.30 pm.
Police said the accused had come to the capital to supply arms to a local criminal. Five pistols and 60 cartridges have been recovered from both of them. The injured have been admitted to hospital.
