Complications in fighting the pandemic increased across the country due to virus mutations. However, despite all the shortcomings, the MP fought it effectively in the initial days. He said that we are focusing on expanding our medical facilities. And always be alert.
Q: What will be your strategy after the ban is lifted?
answer : Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that with the help of people, we have been successful in breaking the chain of corona infection in MP. People have responded wonderfully to this challenge. He said that on the basis of local conditions, the process of unlocking will be done after taking suggestions from the people. Common people’s suggestions are welcome. He said that we are forming committees of ministers to control Corona and make future strategy. Based on their report, further plans will be prepared.
Question: BJP has talked about MP model for corona control. What steps did you take?
Answer: CM said that we have implemented corona curfew in the entire state in time. The idea of ’by the people, of the people, for the people’ formed the core of this model. We also took suggestions from people. The government alone did not take all the decisions. We decentralized it and put Crisis Management Groups at different levels. Starting from the smallest unit, villages, blocks, cities and districts, this group consisted of ministers, MLAs, MPs, magistrates, collectors, SPs, people from social and political organizations, panchs and sarpanches in charge of different areas. Along with all these people, top level people also lived in the group.
The people at the lower level handled the situation at the village level. A door-to-door survey was conducted in the state for the kill corona campaign to find out whether anyone got infected and medicines were given for treatment.

Question: Is it true that there were no oxygen plants?
The CM said that we had estimated the capacity and availability of oxygen during the first wave. Hence, cryogenic tanks were commissioned in government medical colleges. The result is that we now have 323 MT of LMO storage capacity in government hospitals, in addition to 595 MT in the private sector. Shivraj said that we are also giving grants to those persons who are setting up or planning to set up oxygen plants in the state. There was a sudden spike in cases during the second wave and this led to an unprecedented increase in the demand for oxygen in the state. We have involved everyone to meet this demand. The private sector was also allowed to produce oxygen. We also brought oxygen tankers by road, railways and air.
Question: Don’t you think the doubts about the vaccine will cause problems?
Answer: Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that there are some groups which are continuously spreading rumors and false information about vaccines and vaccination process. They are misleading the people. We have started vaccination campaign for people of 18 to 44 and 45+ in the state. We are committed to the safety, health and safety of citizens. I want to assure you that we will complete the vaccination process successfully. All medical centers are ready for this. I urge everyone to go and get vaccinated and don’t believe in any false information.
Question: A video had gone viral that the police was lathi-charging people who violated the lockdown. Can the police be allowed to take such action?

We have directed the police department to adopt a humane attitude towards the common man while implementing the Corona Curfew. He said that now people have realized the risk in coming out. They only go out under compulsion. The police have to understand this and act with empathy.
