IND vs NZ WTC Final: New Zealand leaves UK for World Test Championship finals, title ‘Jung’ from India

Auckland
The New Zealand team left for the UK on Saturday to play in a two-Test series against England and the World Test Championship (WTC) final against India. The two-match Test series will be played from June 2, while the WTC final will take place from June 18 in Southampton.

Prior to the team’s departure, the team’s Twitter handle wrote, “Time to fly.” Captain Ken Williamson, Kyle Jameson and Mitchell Sentner, who play in the suspended Indian Premier League, are currently in the Maldives and will arrive in the UK from there. All

three have arrived in Male from Delhi.

Corona virus cases in Delhi were increasing at the time of their departure. Star fast bowler Trent Boult has returned home after taking part in the IPL and may be out of both matches against England. The Indian team is expected to leave for the UK in the first week of June, following Mumbai’s tough quarantine.
