Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that India did not help Nepal as much as it should have done as a neighboring country in dealing with the Corona crisis. Oli said that maybe because of the court’s decision or
KP Sharma Oli said in a conversation with the BBC, ‘India’s help to Nepal is in its own interest. Even if we seal the border, people cannot be stopped from coming and going. Nepal and India relationship is different from other countries. We have got our boundaries. One house of people is in Nepal and the other house is in India. In view of our friendly relationship, India should extend full help to Nepal. India is giving us oxygen and medicines. India first provided us with the corona vaccine. We thank India.
‘We must look to the future’
On comparing the help of India and China, the Nepalese PM said that along with India, China is also giving us the vaccine and we should not do politics on it. Both countries are helping us. We thank both of you. On relations with India, Oli said that there are neighboring countries, so problems keep happening. There was a problem once but not now. He said that where there is neighbourhood, there is sometimes love and sometimes there is a problem. We should move forward looking into the future. We have to move forward with positive things.
Let us tell you that in this hour of crisis, friend India has once again come forward to help Nepal, which is battling the havoc of the second wave of Corona virus. Despite the help of China, all the oxygen needs of Nepal are being met by India. From India, two tankers of liquid oxygen with a capacity of 15 tonnes are continuously supplying to Nepal. Soon India is going to add three more tankers to it.
Nepal getting liquid oxygen from India
Nepal’s 100 percent liquid oxygen requirement is being met by India. This has also been confirmed by Rajan Bhattarai, Adviser on Foreign Affairs to Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. He said, ‘Nepal is getting liquid oxygen from India and India is the only country which is giving it to us. The demand for oxygen has increased tremendously in Nepal and the Government of Nepal is doing its best to meet this demand.
