Traveling was relaxed under special agreements after the cancellation of international flights in March last year, but now the flights have been canceled once again. India had operated flights under the ‘Vande Bharat’ mission to bring Indians back from Hong Kong, but currently all flights have been suspended until 3 May. The decision was made after 50 Indians were found positive after arriving on two flights to Vistara in the same month.
Earlier, due to the Corona virus variant spreading in the UK, India stopped flights coming from the UK and now the UK has stopped flights from here due to the variant spreading in India. 7 Indian mutants who arrived from here were positive for strain. Britain has placed India on the red list and Air India has stopped flights to and from the UK till 30 April.
Indians, or citizens of other countries who have traveled to India within 14 days, do not have an entry in Dubai. Emirates has stopped flights going from India to Dubai. Flights from there are currently permitted and the rule is not applicable to UAE citizens, diplomatic passport holders and official delegations.
All flights have been banned from India and Pakistan for 30 days. Cargo flights are permitted.
Pakistan has banned travel from India for two weeks.
New Zealand has banned flights going from India from 11 April to 28 April.
America has issued advisory for people coming to India from their country. It has been asked to go to India only if it is absolutely necessary, to complete the vaccinations first, and to follow the rules like social distancing.
Israel on Thursday issued an advisory asking people to avoid coming to India. This advice has also been given to those who have been vaccinated here. Apart from India, Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, Mexico and Turkey have also been advised not to go.
Singapore has issued new rules regarding coming to India from Tuesday. People going from India will have to have a special facility for the first 14 days and then isolate at home for 7 days.
After the impact on international travel last year, India and these 27 countries have had Bach Travel Agreement – Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Canada, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Iraq, Japan, Kenya, Kuwait, Maldives, Nepal, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Qatar, Russia, Rwanda, Seychelles, Tanzania, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Britain, USA and Uzbekistan.
