IPL 2021: BCCI said- ‘People’s safety is very important for us’

The Indian Premier League Governing Council (IPL GC) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had an emergency meeting on Tuesday. It was immediately decided to postpone IPL 2021.

BCCI said in a media release- ‘BCCI does not want to compromise with the safety of players, support

staff and other IPL participants. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the health and health of all stakeholders.

The BCCI said, ‘It is a difficult time. Especially for India. In this time we were trying to bring positivity and happiness. But now that the IPL has been postponed, all will return to their family in this difficult time.

The BCCI will do its best to ensure that all the contestants participating in IPL 2021 are safely delivered to their homes.
