IPL 2021: Slow bowling gets expensive against CSK, RCB captain Kohli fined 12 lakhs

Digital Desk, Mumbai. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli has been fined Rs 12 lakhs for his team’s slow over-rate during the Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday. Since this was the team’s first mistake of the season relating to the minimum offense rate under the IPL’s code of conduct, Kohli was fined Rs 12 lakh, it said in a statement.

RCB’s unstoppable order was broken when CSK defeated them by 69 runs thanks to a brilliant performance by all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja at the Wankhede Stadium on

Sunday. Jadeja played an unbeaten innings of 62 runs off just 28 balls. He then recorded 3/13 figures to dismiss dangerous AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell and Washington Sundar and was named man of the match. With this win, CSK managed to top this season for the first time.
