Court asked to file reply on June 9
A division bench of High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice S Kumar asked the hospital to file a reply in this regard on the next date of hearing i.e. June 9. The bench said these things during the hearing of three PILs filed by Shivani Kaushik, Rohit Kumar and Gaurav Kumar Singh regarding the Corona crisis.
ESIC Hospital submitted status report in court
At the same time, the status report was also submitted by ESIC Hospital during the hearing. In this, the High Court was apprised about the 217 bedded Kovid dedicated facility running in the hospital in collaboration with the state government. Apart from ensuring the supply of oxygen and medicines in the hospital, it was also informed to ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste with the help of a private firm. However, the High Court was curious to know whether the three-tier system of State, Army and ESIC introduced in the hospital was still needed.

Court’s instructions to the government – update daily corona figures
The bench also directed the state government to upgrade the system which gives details of deaths due to COVID and other causes in urban and rural areas. Along with this, instructions were also given to keep the RT-PCR test report at one place instead of showing it on different government portals. The court also directed the state government to update the figures daily.
