On Saturday, the Border Security Force (BSF) thwarted Pakistan’s attempt to drop weapons and ammunition through drones in areas adjacent to the international border in Jammu and Kashmir. Vigilant soldiers, when they entered Indian territory in Arnia sector, fired on two drones and thwarted their attempt. A force spokesman has given this information.
Pakistan is not agreeing even after the agreement
BSF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) SPS Sandhu said in a statement here that despite the implementation of the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, “the Pakistani Rangers did not stop their devious activities against India and their notoriety on the international border in Jammu Is continuing. ‘ He said, ‘BSF jawans on Saturday foiled an attempt to infiltrate Pakistan’s drones. Two drones / UAVs were seen entering from Pakistan and BSF alert troops immediately opened fire on them, forcing them to return to Pakistani territory.
Public Relations Officer of BSF Jammu Sandhu said that the intelligence wing of BSF was getting information that Pakistan could use drones to deliver weapons and ammunition to India. He said that the jawans are alert and the vigil has been increased on the border. Sandhu said that the Pakistan Rangers infiltrate through drones on the international border and live in the area of dropping weapons and ammunition in Indian territory, but BSF has failed similar efforts in the past.
‘Nothing objectionable has been found so far’
Officials said the entire area has been cordoned off and a search operation is on to ascertain if the drones dropped anything before returning to Pakistan. The officer said that nothing objectionable has been found so far. On 20 June last year, the BSF destroyed a Pakistan drone with a US-made M4 semi-automatic carbine and seven Chinese grenades. The drone was dropped at the Pansar border outpost in Kathua district.
