Congress leader and former Union Minister Jitin Prasada joined BJP. He was running angry with the party leadership. Union Minister Piyush Goyal got Jitin to join the party. Before joining BJP, Jitin reached Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s residence to meet him. From here he reached the BJP office and joined the party.
‘I was unable to do anything for my loved ones in Congress’
After joining BJP, Jitin Prasad said, ‘BJP implemented welfare schemes. The party in which I was in felt that when I am not able to do anything for the interests of my loved ones. When you can’t help anyone. I don’t deserve that can’t protect public interest… I started feeling this in Congress, that’s why I joined BJP.
Jitin said during this that I will not speak much. My work will speak Now I am a dedicated BJP worker. My aim will also work on Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Simultaneously, Jitin said that he has joined BJP in the interest of the country.

Big setback before assembly elections

Rumors were spread before Lok Sabha elections
There was news of Jitin Prasad joining the BJP before the assembly elections to be held in 2019. For two-three days, the markets of discussions about this were hot. It was being said that Jitin would contest from Dhaurahra seat on BJP ticket, because BJP wanted Jitin Prasad to contest from Lucknow. About Jitin Prasad

Jitendra Prasad contested the election of Congress President against Sonia Gandhi in 2000.
Jitin got votes in this way in the Lok Sabha elections
Won in 2004: Jitin got 2.20 lakh votes in 2004. He defeated Ramamurthy Verma of SP by 81,000 votes.
2009 win: Jitin defeated Rajesh Verma of BSP by 1.84 lakh votes in 2009. Jitin got 3.91 lakh votes.
Lost in 2014: Jitin got 1.70 lakh votes in 2014. He was defeated by BJP candidate Resha Verma by 1.89 lakh votes.
2019 Defeat: Jitin got 1.61 votes in 2019. This time also he was defeated by BJP candidate Rekha Verma by 3.50 lakh votes.
