According to the leader of the Congress Legislature Party, Congress leaders in Karnataka will pay a total of Rs 100 crore for it. At the state Congress headquarters in Karnataka, he said, “This is an unprecedented decision in the history of Karnataka.” Congress state president DK Shivakumar, who was present with Siddaramaiah, said that Congress MPs and MLAs are ready to stop development work in their areas.
Permission will have to be taken from central and state government
He said, ‘We are ready to stop all development work in our areas. It is our ultimate duty to save the lives of people instead of doing development work. ‘ He said that the party would write a letter to Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa asking him to use the amount given by him to purchase the vaccine. After this, the state Congress unit said in a statement that to use the funds of LAD, they would have to get permission from the Central Government and the State Government.
Shivkumar said – Let us buy the vaccine, BJP should keep politics away
The statement quoted Shivakumar as saying, “I request the BJP not to bring politics in the middle and allow Congress to directly purchase and apply vaccines under self-sufficient India”.
