In the West Central Railway Kota Railway Division, a major incident of theft of railway power line has come to light on Saturday. Thieves have smartly cut the electric current (OHE) of the 25 thousand voltage
Theft of running line
Ajay Kumar Pal, senior commercial manager of Kota Railway Division, said that the incident took place in the wee hours of Friday night. Unknown thieves have cut the wires of the running power line within a radius of about 1 kilometer. They stole them. In this case Ramganjmandi RPF has registered a case against unknown thieves. The investigation is being done in view of the seriousness of the case.
Thieves stole wire worth 10 lakh rupees
According to senior commercial manager Ajay Kumar Pal, the copper wire price is 1 meter 300 to 350 rupees. Here, the villagers gave the information of the incident to Ramganjmandi RPF when the incident was detected. At the same time, as soon as the incident happened, there was a stir from the Kota Railway Division to the Jabalpur headquarters of West Central Railway. The Chota incident is also reported to be the biggest theft till now. This can be gauged from the fact that Pradeep Kumar Gupta, Principal Chief Security Commissioner (IG) of West Central Railway had to come to monitor the case himself. On the other hand, Vijay Prakash, Senior Safety Commissioner, Kota Railway Division, inspected the site of the incident. Also ordered to register the case immediately.
Such an advantage
It is being told that this rail section of about 20 kilometers from Jhalapatan to Junakheda station has been heard due to lack of rail traffic. Unknown thieves took advantage of this in the incident. The Chief Safety Commissioner (CRS) has given permission to run trains on this railway block. Even after this, the operation of trains here has not started yet. The CRS gave its approval from Jhalawar to Jhalrapatan for nearly 2 years and from Jhalrapatan to Junakheda in November last year. However, the staff has not been appointed on this section. Only a few pointsmen etc. have been placed at the stations. This railway section has gone unclaimed due to not being a railway employee. Cases of petty theft have been reported here even before there are no employees. But the Railways did not think it necessary to take any such lesson. This is the reason that this big theft incident has come to light here.
RPF starts investigation
In this case, Ramganjmandi RPF police station in-charge Pravin Gehlot said that in the vicious manner of the current electric line, unknown thieves cut wires and escaped. RPF Police Station has started a search for the thieves. We are taking the support of Asnavar police station of Rajasthan Police.
