Lockdown may occur in many districts of the country once again due to a growing case of Corona. A proposal has been prepared by the Ministry of Health under which a lockdown has been recommended for cities where the rate of corona infection is more than 15 percent. In the proposal sent to the Center, it has been emphasized that the lockdown is necessary in the districts with more than 15 percent positivity rate. Lockdown will have to be imposed in these districts by exempting essential services or else the burden on the health system will increase.
A senior government official told that such steps are necessary to prevent the speed of corona in such districts where the rate of infection is high. A few weeks of lockdown can be used to break the Corona chain.
Oxygen crisis has arisen due to increasing cases of corona in the country. Meanwhile, the government said that the production of liquid medical oxygen (LMO) has increased to 8,922 tonnes per day, which is expected to exceed 9,250 tonnes per day by the end of the month.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was briefed in a high-level meeting on Tuesday about the increasing production of this life-saving gas. Oxygen deficiency has been reported in many places amidst increasing cases of Kovid-19. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, in the meeting, Modi directed the officials to work closely with the state governments to start the PSA Oxygen plant at the earliest.
