Since the lockdown was declared in Tamil Nadu, Gururaj has been rushing to the hospital with his auto in needy and emergency cases. He is not charging any fee for this service. Seeing Gururaj’s selfless service, the newly appointed Chief Minister MK Stalin has also praised.

When the demand for the ride is high, Gururaj also employs his friend Ambunathan. Ambunathan is also an autorickshaw driver and offers free rides to the needy. Appreciating Gururaj’s services, Chief Minister Stalin gave him a letter saying that he was happy to see his service.
Stalin also told Gururaj that his friend Ambunathan is also an admirable person for his services to the people. Chief Minister Stalin told Gururaj that he appreciated his services in helping the government fight the war against the epidemic on behalf of the state.
