Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar donated one crore rupees to help Kovid patients

Legendary Cricket Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday donated one crore rupees with the intention of purchasing oxygen concentration for a Kovid-19 (COVID-19) patient. Tendulkar has donated this amount at a time when the country is struggling badly with this epidemic.

The country’s health system is also struggling with this crisis and there is no provision of oxygen and important medicines for the infected. The Delhi-NCR-based businessmen’s initiative to raise funds for importing Oxygen concentrators machine and donating it to needy hospitals, said in a statement, “His (Tendulkar’s) mission is a heart-warming donation to Oxygen which is in need. Is working to procure and provide life-saving oxygen concentrators for hospitals across the country.

After being found positive for this deadly infection, Tendulkar, 48, of Mumbai, who himself spent some time in the hospital himself, praised the initiative via Twitter.

Tendulkar wrote on his Twitter handle, ‘The second wave of Kovid has put our health system under tremendous pressure. It is the need of the hour to provide a large number of oxygen to the serious patients of Kovid.

He said, ‘It is heart touching how people are coming forward for help at this time. The group of over 250 young businessmen has started Mission Oxygen to raise funds with the intention of purchasing oxygen concentrators and donating it to hospitals across the country.
