Meeting on preparedness to deal with floods
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a meeting on preparations to deal with the floods through video conferencing at his residence. In this, the suggestions received in the division-wise meeting with MPs / MLAs / MLAs were reviewed. Secretary, Water Resources Department, Sanjeev Kumar Hans gave the presentation at the meeting. He said that a division-wise meeting was held with the public representatives from 13-21 May through video conferencing of Water Resources, Small Water Resources, Rural Works and Road Construction Department. During this time the public representatives made important suggestions regarding the pre-flood works and future projects related to their respective areas.

‘Follow the suggestions of public representatives’
In this important meeting that took place before the flood, senior officers of the four departments and other senior officials were also involved. Everyone gave a presentation on behalf of their respective departments. Gave detailed information about the suggestions of public representatives. During the review, the Chief Minister said that with the suggestions of MPs / MLAs / MLAs, there will be a lot of convenience in pre-flood preparations. The public representatives have also given the feedback of their respective areas to the concerned departments, this will also help in the formulation of future plans. All departments should work keeping in mind the suggestions of public representatives.

Dispose of everything by 15 June- Nitish
CM Nitish Kumar said that repair of damaged roads, bridges and culverts should be completed by June 15 with priority. Inspect all roads and bridges. Ensure that all construction works are of quality. The Chief Minister said that the embarkation, strengthening and strengthening of embankments should be completed expeditiously. Complete all erosion prevention and flood protection works to prevent flooding. He said that by carrying out a special campaign, complete the cleaning work of the bridges and culverts before the rainy season. Road Construction Department and Rural Works Department should keep a special watch on the roads in the flooded areas. All the officials should be fully conscious about the flood, so that any situation can be dealt with. Be fully prepared to protect people. CM said that assistance and safety of people is our priority.
