The incident took place at Zakir Hussain Hospital in Nashik. The sudden leak of oxygen from the oxygen tanker here led to smoke in the entire hospital premises. On the spot, the work of maintenance has been started under the supervision of the officials. A team of Nashik’s fire brigade is also present at the scene.
There is a severe shortage of oxygen in many districts of Maharashtra amid a growing case of corona. Due to this, patients are losing their lives on the day of arrival. The state government also requested the Center to supply oxygen to the state by air. So that patients can be provided oxygen at the right time and their lives can be saved.
Amit Shah expressed condolences

On the Nashik incident, Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope also confirmed the deaths of patients due to lack of oxygen at Zakir Hussain Hospital, saying that all these patients were on ventilators.
