Commissioner Yagyamitra Singh says that when I spoke in front of the mayor on the issue of payment of the garbage collection company in the meeting, first where he verbally harassed me. At the same time, 10 BJP councilors pressurized me to order an alternative arrangement for garbage collection. Singh says that the court had already ordered not to take any action against the company for eight weeks. Singh said that if the company is not paid, the public will continue to suffer.
Three councilors accused of assault
Singh says that after this meeting when I left the office because I had to attend the second meeting in the collectorate, three BJP councilors stopped me at the main office gate and beat me up. Singh said that when he called his personal staff, the home guards posted in the mayor’s office did not let him inside. Later two home guards were suspended.
Singh says called under a well-planned conspiracy
Singh told TOI that “I could have been violent with the councillors, but it is against my dignity. I will file an FIR against them soon. This is a well-planned conspiracy by the councilors against me. Asked the commissioner first, the mayor and the councilor this. Answer the question how can they call me for a meeting and attack me?”.

Refuting all the claims of the commissioner, Mayor Soumya Gurjar said that it was just a play for cheap publicity. Nobody scuffled with the commissioner. If anyone has misbehaved with the commissioner, they should give us evidence and action will be taken against them. I have asked all my employees but everyone has denied this. DLB director ordered inquiry
Director of Local Bodies (DLB) Deepak Nandi has ordered an inquiry into the matter. Also, the report has been sought at the earliest.
