The government hopes that cases of rapidly growing corona infection will be reduced through the Emergency. This emergency will be effective till May 11. A quarter of Japan’s population will be affected

Public transport will run on weekends only

During this time only the most important people will be allowed to travel. Many commercial facilities, including department stores and shopping malls, will only be allowed to sell essential goods. Restaurants will be open till 8 pm.
Health experts gave warning
Health experts in Japan have warned that highly infectious variants of the coronavirus may wreak havoc during Golden Week. After a meeting with cabinet members including Health Minister Norihisa Tamura and the government’s in charge of the corono virus response, Yasutoshi Nishimura, Suga said that we would take action around the holiday period to prevent the spread of infection in all ways.
