New Zealand wicketkeeper batsman BJ Wolting will retire after tour of England

New Zealand wicket-keeper batsman BJ Wolting will retire from international cricket after touring England in June this year. He will play two Test matches against England and then against India in the World Test Championship. This will be his last Test match.

The 35-year-old vaulting is New Zealand’s most successful wicketkeeper. Their names are 257 victims. It has 249 catches and 8 stumpings. Apart from this, he has also taken 10 catches as a fielder.

BJ Wolting has played 73 Tests for New Zealand. He has

scored 3773 runs at an average of 38.11. He has scored 8 centuries and 19 half-centuries. His career best score is 205 runs which he scored against England at Mount Moungouni in November 2019. He has played 28 ODIs and five T20 Internationals for New Zealand.

Wolting began his career as a Test opener. After that, he batting in the middle order.

In his statement, Wolting said, “This is the right time to say goodbye.” It is a matter of pride to represent New Zealand and especially to wear a test cap. Test cricket is the true form of the game. And I enjoyed every minute playing for the team in this format.
