NTPC’s new guidelines will decide whether you will travel from India to Bangladesh, 72 hours is the most important

Digital Desk, Dhaka. Not only India but the neighboring country is also in a state of confusion due to the second wave of corona virus. Bangladesh’s National Technical Advisory Committee (NTPC) on fresh coronaviruses has emphasized the need to impose strict cross-border travel restrictions keeping in mind the growing corona cases in India. Thousands of cases of corona virus are being found in India right now. Due to which the neighboring countries are insisting on border restrictions.

Most travelers coming from India are citizens of Bangladesh
Mushtaq Hussain, former chief scientific

officer of the Institute of Epidemiology and Disease Control, said that travelers coming from India need to quarantine at least 14 days. Other than that there is no alternative. The border cannot be completely banned as most of the travelers coming from India are citizens of Bangladesh. They cannot be stopped at the border.

He further said that the samples of the traveling passengers should be tested 72 hours in advance, and there is a need to make it mandatory for the passengers to have negative reports and quarantines. If possible, people should be placed in institutional quarantine or home isolation. He has raised concerns about coronavirus variants, which are spreading rapidly across India. However, he also said that it has not yet proven to be more harmful than other corona virus strains.

Emphasized to take special instructions
NTPC committee head Professor Mohammad Shahidullah has issued a warning about a certain risk in relation to the infection spreading in the country. He has demanded a ban on people coming and going from India. Till the ban is imposed, he has insisted on keeping special instructions. Shahidullah suggested stopping the movement between the two countries and said that if we are not able to ban people coming from India, then at least quarantine them. If you do not do the quarantine, then surely this virus will spread in the country. We have already discussed the matter with NTPC members.

Discussing another point, he said that we should strictly control the border. There is a need to limit travel between the two countries. To prevent corona cases in the country, restrictions on travel, recreational and other reasons should be banned. Permission to travel should be given only if necessary. He further said that the matter has been discussed before the committee members, but the panel has intended to make a formal recommendation in this regard. We will inform the government. However, he has not yet placed any recommendation before the government.
