Padmashri ON Srivastava (Padmashri ON Srivastava), the country’s renowned Hydrogen Energy and Nano Science expert, died from Corona. He succumbed while undergoing treatment at BHU’s Kovid Hospital on Saturday morning. Prof. Srivastava was cremated at Harishchandra Ghat with full state honor of his death.

Padma Shri award was received in 2016
BHU’s Geophysics was posted as Professor ON Srivastava Professor. In 2016, he was conferred with the Padma Shri by the late President Pranab Mukherjee. Professor ON Srivastava created the first Hydrogen Center in the country at BHU. The late President APJ Abdul Kalam has also rode on the hydrogen car built by him.
Was an important contributor to the agreement on hydrogen research
He also contributed significantly to the agreement between BHU and Hydro Power Corporation for hydrogen research two months earlier. Under this agreement, work on running auto-rickshaw from hydrogen was started as a pilot project.
