Sajid Haji Ababkar, the owner of this fishing boat worth millions of rupees, told the Dawn newspaper that when the fish was caught, the boat was owned by Wahid Baloch, a resident of Pishkan. On the other hand, Gwadar Deputy Director of Fisheries Affairs Ahmed Nadeem confirmed that he had never seen more expensive fish before.
Demand for large crocker fish is very high in China and Europe
The fish, weighing around 48 kg, is sold for 72 lakh rupees. Ababkar told that once the price of the fish had reached 86 lakh rupees during the auction. He said, ‘We have been giving discounts to our customers and following the same tradition, we have fixed the price of fish at Rs 72 lakh. Pakistan Marine biologist Abdul Rahim Baloch said that the demand for large croaker fish is very high in China and Europe.
Baloch said, ‘This rare fish is prized because of its meat. Parts of this fish are used for medicine and surgery. ‘ Shortly before this, a fisherman named Abdul Haq caught a croaker fish. This fish was sold for seven lakh 80 thousand Pakistani rupees. There is an atmosphere of happiness in the fishermen community by meeting this fish.
