- Bihar cricketers have not been paid the match fees of the last two seasons
- Prashanth’s elder brother, who is among the same cricketers, has become corona, while the mother is ill.
- In such a situation, former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin has helped Prashant.
Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin has provided financial assistance of Rs 25,000 to 20-year-old fast bowler Prashant Singh from Bihar, who is troubled by the epidemic Kovid-19. Former Delhi cricketer Surinder Khanna has also come to the aid of this promising fast bowler who played for Bihar Under-23.
When Azharuddin approached him on this issue, he said, ‘I don’t like showing off. I do not want to embarrass the boy and most importantly it is taught by my parents and grandfather. ‘ He is currently the President of Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA).
Prashanth’s elder brother suffers a corona, while the mother’s health is extremely poor. Prashant is financially distressed due to not receiving nearly 8 lakh rupees as match fees. In such a situation, he pleaded for help.
On the other hand Prashant said- I am thankful to both Azhar sir and Aditya Verma who told him about my plight. I thank you wholeheartedly for helping me. I still cannot believe that such a big cricketer has helped me. He told that when Azhar sir came as the chief guest for a tournament organized by Verma two-three years ago, he met him.
Apart from Azharuddin, the young player also gets help from former Indian wicketkeeper Surinder Khanna in Delhi. He said- When Varma told me about him, I told my friends and acquaintances about the need to help him. We will pool in some money to support everyone and all such needy people who are associated with cricket. I saw this boy in Muzaffarpur and was impressed by his talent.
