This has been said in a report by Economic Times.
India currently has around 300 million feature phone users
According to the Economic Times report, the aggressive pricing of the device, attractive data package along with great specifications can play a key role in the success of Jio Phone Next. There are currently 85 crore mobile phone users in India, out of which about 55 crore are smartphone users. While the rest 300 million are feature phone users. The potential market for Jio’s new device is 300 million, for which the addressable market is expected to be 14-15 million. Prabhu Ram, Head of Industry Intelligence Group at CMR says, “Jio and Google not only have to look at the issue of smartphone affordability, but also solve 3Vs – voice, vernacular and video – for the consumers.” Faisal Kawoosa, Founder and Chief Analyst, TechArc says, “Smartphone penetration in India is 42.20 percent. There is a lot of potential here, but it is more an economic issue than a technology issue. This means we have to somehow connect this unconnected base to the internet.

If we talk about other features of the phone, then it will be equipped with many latest features including Google Assistant, automatic read-aloud off screen text, language translation.
