After becoming the head coach of the Indian women’s team, Ramesh Powar has said that he is eager to take the team to new heights. Powar replaces former Indian cricketer WV Raman as the women’s team coach.

The BCCI and Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) on Thursday appointed Powar as the women’s team coach in place of Raman. The BCCI had received more than 35 applications for this post. But the board chose Powar as the suitable candidate. Powar has played two Tests and 31 ODIs for India.
