Ravichandran Ashwin can reunite with Delhi Capitals, will be seen in the final phase


New DelhiDelhi Capitals off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin can join the team for the last leg of the Indian Premier League. This phase will take place later this month.

Ravichandran Ashwin decided to take a break from IPL 2021 after the Delhi Capitals victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad on 25 April. His family members became infected with the Corona virus and Ashwin decided to stay with the family. His wife Prithi Narayan had told that 10 members of the family had become infected with Kovid-19.

Senior sports journalist Boria Majumdar has tweeted that Ashwin’s family

members are recovering from Kovid-19. And Ashwin can join the team in the last leg of the IPL.

He tweeted, ‘I have come to know that @ ashwinravi99 can now join up with @DelhiCapitals for the last leg of IPL. If that is the case then it would be a very good thing. I want him to be mentally relaxed. It would be great to see them on the field. We need such leaders.

This news has come at a time when Corona has been entered in the IPL. On Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders had to postpone the match after two Kolkata Knight Riders players reported to be corona positive.

After this it was reported that three members of the Chennai Super Kings squad have become Kovid-19 positive. However none of these players were. Now after that, according to the news that came on Tuesday morning, the match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday has also been postponed.

For the sake of safety, the players of Delhi Capitals have been asked to be Isolated as the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi took place in Ahmedabad on 29 April. According to reports, the rest of the IPL can be done in Mumbai. The city is now witnessing a decrease in cases of Kovid.
