The Center has banned the allotment of the anti-viral drug Remadecivir to the states after over-supply. Union Minister Mansukh Mandavia gave this information on Saturday. Mandavia tweeted, “Remadexivir is now available in sufficient quantity in the country as the supply is much more than the demand. Therefore, we have decided to stop the central allocation of remadecevir to the states.
The Minister of State for Fertilizers and Chemicals also mentioned that there has been a significant improvement in the supply of this medicine used in the treatment of Kovid-19,
He said that the government increased the number of units manufacturing Remedisvir from 20 to 60 within a month. Mandavia also said that the government has also decided to purchase 50 lakh vials of Remadecivir as emergency stock.
