Delhi Police will call for questioning the woman whose scooter was used wrestler Sushil Kumar Was doing. Sushil Kumar was arrested recently in connection with the alleged murder of a young wrestler at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi.
A senior police officer has confirmed that the woman will be called for questioning in connection with the incident. Sushil Kumar and his associates allegedly assaulted Sagar Dhankhar and his two friends Sonu Mahal and Amit Kumar at the stadium on the intervening night of May 4
Sushil Kumar and one of his associates were arrested from Delhi’s Mundka area on May 23. Sushil is currently in judicial custody. Sushil was produced in the Rohini court on Wednesday after his second remand period of four days ended. During the hearing in the court, Delhi Police’s counsel had said that Sagar Dhankhar was a budding wrestler and others were badly injured. Video is the most important proof.
Sushil’s counsel opposed this and argued that the time given to the police for questioning was sufficient. The court gave its verdict after hearing the arguments of both the parties. The lawyer of the killer wrestler opposed the demand for remand. It was argued that no such ground was given for which the court should accept the demand of the police and send the accused on remand.
Advocate Pradeep Rana had requested the court to send Kumar to judicial custody and also be kept in a separate cell in the jail, as several gangs are said to be involved in the case, and their people may be in jail as well. .
In this case, the Delhi Police had suspended his arms license a day earlier. According to informed sources in Delhi Police related to his case, Delhi Police has sent a notice to Kumar for cancellation of his arms licence, which was issued to him in 2012. 10 days have been given to reply to the notice.
