On the final day of the Asian Boxing Championship, on Monday, Sanjeet won the gold medal to India. The news brought a wave of joy for the Indian camp after the defeat of Amit Panghal and Shiv Thapa in the final. The bout review system was launched by the International Boxing Association in 2019. The team manager or the head coach of the losing boxer is given a chance to lodge a protest until 15 minutes after the verdict. He has to complete the paperwork in the next 30 minutes. 5–0 or 4–1 decisions in this system are not covered by the review. Each team is given two reviews. The verdict of the jury is final and acceptable.
