Saudi Arabia lifts travel ban from 11 countries, quarantine rules will be applicable, decision on India too

Saudi Arabia suspended flights from several countries in view of the threat from the corona virus’s more contagious and dangerous strain. It has now expanded the removal of travel restrictions from 11 countries. The stature has been taken in countries where Kovid-19 has seen stability in the situation. For the time being, people coming from these countries have to follow the rules related to Quarantine. At the same time, 13 countries are still in the ‘Red List’.

Countries whose travel restrictions have been lifted include the United Arab Emirates,
Germany, the United States, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Britain, Sweden, Switzerland, France and Japan. At the same time, the 13 countries that are banned include India, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Somalia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela and Belarus. People in these countries have to get permission for travel in advance.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation has informed all the airlines about the new rules. Non-Saudi travelers, travelers excluded from the rules, immunized and not vaccinated will be required to show their health certificates that cannot be older than 72 hours. These rules will be applicable to all people of 8 years or more and those who have been quarantined 7 days. On coming on the sixth day, they will be allowed.
